Jonathan Hopkins

Jonathan is a public affairs consultant greatly experienced in the development of communications strategies, campaigns and project development, specialist in areas of public policy, government and media relations. He founded Citadel Policy & Communications in 2005 for policy, research and public affairs and joined the Commission On Young Lives as a senior associate from 2022. Formerly a parliamentary adviser and political aide, Jonathan has been a board director at public relations agencies including The Rowland Company (Saatchi & Saatchi) and PR21 (Edelman) for brand reputation, issues management, marketing and stakeholder engagement.

Jonathan is founding chair of a multi academy trust. He is an experienced trustee including for Clore Social Leadership and was the first independent chair and trustee for Youth Access (information, advice and counselling). A member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).
